PTA Book Award

Today I got this cool book at Assembly because I always remember to use my manners and try to be caring and kind. It's a cool book about Dinosaurs and telling the time. I love telling the time.

I Am Learning to Draw Sunflowers

We planted sunflower seeds. They are beginning to grow. We drew a sunflower to show what we hope will grow on our plants.

"My Mum will be very proud of me. My picture is so cool".

I Am Learning to Retell the Story in the Right Order

Today we read the story 'The Balloon'. Then we had to put the words in the sentence in the right order. 

"I had to read the story to find which animal got out first. The dog got out first, it was easy."

Blob Bugs

We used paint to paint three blobs, then we squashed our paper in half. When it was dry we added legs, wings, antennae and eyes.

I Can Add More detail to My Writing

We are learning to add more detail to our writing. 

" I wrote why I like the gingerbread in my story".

I Am Learning to Tell The Time

We have made clocks at school. We are learning to tell o'clock and half past times using our clocks. It is fun.

"My clock says 11 o'clock. It is easy to tell o'clocks, next I will learn half past times".

Art Exhibition - Paint My World

We used primary colours to paint our paper. We mixed the colours to get the new colours. We then drew our koru patterns and cut them out. We  arranged them on black paper to make the colours show out.  Come and see our Art Work this week 25^th  – 27^th August, the exhibition is open from 8:30am until 5:30pm.

I Am Learning to Read the Word ‘down’.

Today we read the story ‘My Balloon Goes Up’ on Sunshine Online. After we had read the story we had to play a game with up and down.

"I was reading about up and down today. I had to click on the words up or down so that the clown didn't get hit. It was fun."
